Is there a minimum or maximum amount of land?

There is no minimum or maximum amount of land we require. However, with large lots we will rotate the goats between sections.

Do I need a fence?

No, not necessarily. We use our own low-voltage electric fence for two reasons. Most importantly to protect our kids from predators. Secondly to keep them on task.

How long does it take?

A crew of 10 goats can clear a 1/2 acre in 7 to 10 days.

Will the goats clear everything down to the ground?

If given enough time, perhaps. What you should expect is that the greenery, leaves and some vines will be gone. It does not look like a lawn mower has come in.

How many hours a day will the goats eat?

Goats will eat about 16 hours a day, depending on weather.

How much do the goats eat?

Goats eat about 10 lbs of vegetation a day.
